Today I am reviewing I take you by Marion Ueckermann
Book Description:
When wedding dreams are shattered, can they be pieced together again?
Ever since she was a little girl, Kaia Collins has dreamed about her fairy tale wedding. Wearing her mother’s wedding dress, she’d whisper heartfelt vows to her soulmate between the hallowed walls of a charming country chapel. Afterward, surrounded by family and friends in the fanciest venue Daddy’s money could buy, they’d dine on the finest food. Then she’d dance the night away in Leo’s arms, forgetting anyone was there except for him.
Perfect. At least it had been until her father’s choices crush Kaia’s dreams.
When Leo Campbell proposed to his childhood sweetheart, he had no way of knowing the family drama that would unfold mere months later. Now he has two options: convince Kaia to delay the wedding, or find an immediate answer to their dilemma and put a smile back on the face of the woman he loves. Leo refuses to entertain the first — he has waited a lifetime to make Kaia his wife.
But can there be an easy solution to the remaining option?
A sweet Christian romance from beloved author Marion Ueckermann, set in beautiful New Zealand!
My Review:
This book was originally in the Save The Date Boxset which I have but only read this book now. I loved the story. It’s set in New Zealand and love the use of some of the local lingo. Kaia and Leo are in the love and after a perfect proposal the wedding plans are well under control. Kaia has always imagined the perfect wedding but then something happens with her father that changes everything.
There are two options delay the wedding or change it and change it they do. Leo lives with his father on an alpaca farm and currently building a new home on the property for himself and Kaia after the wedding. I love the way the book plays out and found it flowed well.
This is Marion’s last book which is one reason I did read it now 5 years after losing her way to soon. If you have read any of Marions books I am sure you will like this book. If you haven’t but enjoy novellas and Happy endings give this book ago.
