Tuesday Book Chat | What’s Your Favourite Way To Follow An Author Online?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

What’s Your Favourite Way To Follow An Author Online?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

I guess I have a couple of ways depending on the author. Most would be via Facebook. I am in a few author groups on Facebook which is fun to get to know an author. I am in a few groups that have multiple authors as well. One other way is via newsletters.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.

  1. Newsletters and Facebook for me. I’ve joined a few discussion groups and made online friends from among the regular participants. I especially look out for opportunities to meet other local authors and keep up with what’s happening in their journey.

  2. Facebook for making connections, but Amazon follow for authors I want to read. I don’t like emails or trying to chase up when people have new releases. I don’t mind learning more about authors, but I like that in authors notes or interviews. Amazon sends me one email for a new release and that’s good enough for me.

    1. Sounds good. Some newsletters are to frequent or don’t have much in them or are promoting everyone elses books to fill up the page. I think I see more in FB groups and also Blogs.

  3. I subscribe to newsletters for authors I don’t want to miss hearing from, and tend to learn all about them with their subsequent “welcome” email(s). 🙂 I also follow authors on Facebook (sometimes as well as being a newsletter subscriber) and join various groups on Facebook.

    1. I tend to skim a lot of newsletters (am slowly deleting some due to signing up but no longer reading the genre).
