Tuesday Book Chat | Are you doing a reading challenge in 2019?

From Iola Goulton @iolagoulton

It’s Iola here. Welcome to the Australasian Christian Writers Tuesday Book Chat where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

Are you doing a reading challenge in 2019?

If so, which challenge? How many books are you aiming to read?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation in a comment on this post or in a comment on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Or, if you’re feeling wordy (like me), write a blog post and link to it in the comments.

Let’s chat!

Would you like to join the Tuesday Book Chat by answering the question on your own blog each week? If so, email us via the Contact page and we’ll send you the list of questions for 2019.

  1. Hi Iola, I look at the reading challenges and wish I had more time for reading! I don’t set a target because then I can’t ‘fail’, lol. Migraines have limited my reading time. My goal in 2019 is to read as much as I can with no pressure. 🙂

    1. Fair enough! I’m aiming for fewer books this year, but I’m trying to be more intentional about what I read – I want to tackle my real-life and virtual TBR piles.

  2. Hello Iola, I’m using the Goodreads Reading Challenge and plan to read 170 books this year.

  3. Unfortunately, my reading has to slip into the position of relaxation time only, and that will be a bit thin on the ground this year. But I will try to find new authors and perhaps new genres to read this year, as I am usually fairly predictable. In the meantime, I need to read all the course work for the classes I have to teach, and re-read what I am writing, so that I can write it better.

  4. Hi Iola,
Yes, the Back to the Classics challenge, to help me keep reading widely, and also a chunkster challenge, because I think several will overlap. And the normal Goodreads one, to track the number.
