The heatwave we experienced last week where I live in Canberra, Australia, has finally ended. I’m thankful that we have evaporative cooling installed in our home. The humidity stayed low enough for the cooling system to work properly.

What’s the weather like in your part of the world? Do you prefer summer or winter?

  1. Woohoo! Congratulations team. I’m glad to see a break in the heat of Australian summer – I’m more a winter girl 🙂

    1. Hi Carolyn, Me too! Today was perfect summer weather, imho, because it was mild. I like summer in small doses, and prefer winter with one or two snow showers, if possible! 🙂

    1. Hi Cate, Thanks for your feedback and I’m so glad the site is working well on your phone. Tonight I finally have the WP App working the way I need it to work in my phone. An exercise in trial and error with a big dose of patience thrown in, lol. 🙂

  2. Looks great!! Well done ladies and thanks for your hard work getting it set up!

  3. Looks good! Lots of work gone into that. Will have to spend some time wandering around reading it all 🙂

  4. Congrats on your freshened up website! It has a clean, crisp and efficient feel to it, and it’s easy to navigate. I enjoyed perusing the Book Table. 🙂 I have most of Carolyn’s Regency books.
Happy New Year to y’all in Australia! I prefer spring and autumn here in VA (USA) because it’s too cold in the winter and there are too many biting bugs in the summer.

    1. Hi Anne, Happy New Year! I’m glad you’re finding our website easy to navigate. The Book Table is fun, and you can click on Carolyn’s name to check which books you’ve read. Plus the Book Table will also sort books via series and genre. Autumn is pretty where I live with the falling leaves. Summer bugs are not fun. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

    1. Hi MJSH, We could do with some more rain where I live. The thunderstorms we’ve been having the last few days haven’t dumped much rain. I hope you get a break from the rainy days soon. I enjoy sunny and crisp winter days, when you can feel the sun on your skin despite the cold temperature. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  5. Hallo, Hallo Ms Atkins!!

*waves!* Wicked happy you’ve found me via Twitter!! I’m following you on there – whilst I am also following you via WP Reader. I must admit, I am preferring the Winter stateside – not that I’m blessed with snow or anything lovely such as that this year, however, I feel more than half dead in the Summer – humidity is not my friend. Nor is Spring a favourite as I have pollen allergies which wreck me something fierce every year. Ergo, by Autumn & Winter I feel like I can thrive… save this year, when I came down with a beastly Winter virus weeks before Christmas! (still trying to kick it to the curb!)

I love finding new author group blogs — so happy you caught sight of me on Twitter. I wonder, was it due to my recent s/o of love for #LoveInspired Suspense “No Safe Place”? I find the whole imprint wicked addictive to be reading!!

Can’t wait to see what your going to feature next! Cheerfully, a new reader of yours, Jorie

    1. Hi Jorie, Welcome! We’re glad you’ve found us here at ACW. Humidity is not my friend, either. Where I live the summers are typically hot but the humidity is usually low. A few years ago during a trip to the States I discovered I was highly allergic to ragweed. That was not fun! I hope you’ll recover from your winter virus ASAP.

Yes, the LIS connection is likely how our paths crossed on Twitter. Check out Iola’s book blog (via Our Authors Page) – she reviews/recommends a lot of romantic suspense that’s similar to LIS. Lisa Harris is one of my favourite LIS authors. Thanks for stopping by and following us! 🙂
